Since the Fall of 2014, Raas Rock Studio has been rescuing the NY/NJ/PA area from boring weekends by unleashing epic Garba moves. Step into Navratri like a total rockstar with Raas Rock Studio’s chaniya choli collection — so dazzling with mirror work, embroidery, applique, Aari, and Rabari designs that you might blind the front row while dancing. Our vibrant colors and swirling ghaghras will make every spin feel like a Bollywood slow-mo moment. And for the ultimate “power couple” vibes, we’ve got matching Garba outfits — complete with the classic Gujarati Kediyu and dhoti for men, so even the uncles will be jealous. When you buy tickets for a Garba night and instead of doing Garba on your own, you just can’t stop being mesmerized by and witnessing the group of some people very well dressed, not just in attire but attitude and expressions, well co-ordinated, dancing their soul out on the garba songs; it is THIS group. I am avid Garba lover and in total dislike when the steps combine Garba + Bollywood and loose the charm of Garba, watching you all do garba in it’s pure form, was a sheer delight. Hope you guys open a branch in Jersey City or we move out somewhere which is close to your studio some day, until then keep rocking and spreading smiles. Hetal and Nikunj are awesome dancers and teachers! Each class has a different routine, different style. Nikunj makes sure that everyone gets the step, no matter how complicated! Very well structured and after the class, you walk away learning a full routine! Non dancers or non garbha dancers, all can enjoy and learn in these classes! Highly recommended!!
As the name goes, it’s simply rocking. Nikunj is a great garba performer and an amazing instructor as well. He takes efforts to teach garba even for the non-garba dancers. I love his practice session that we do it in the Park. I am excited to celebrate garba with the group of Raas Rock.
I always loved dancing especially the bhangra and bollywood kind with energetic beats. Never thought I would like Garba …then I met Nikunj… and his classes totally changed my view point. Very energetic, fun and the moves are out of this world. Could never see myself be able to dance on nonstop graba beats. Love Love Love!!! He is wonderful, has so much patience and love how he comes to the class always prepared knowing what and how to teach. I look forward to my Saturday dance classes. Highly recommend.
